Winter Reflections II   10 comments

I think I might be on a reflections theme…

We’re finally enjoying winter here in Edmonton. The cold blast has passed and we’re hovering just below 0C. The camera is sitting quietly on the desk and we’re out having fun in the snow. Yesterday, it was sledding at a local hill. Today, it was downhill skiing. I hope you’re having fun too!

  1. Love your reflections series Mike!

  2. Mike, you are just having too much fun with these! All three are superb–can’t wait to see more!

  3. This one goes in the favourites file!

  4. This has been a great series Mike! This one is puzzling…

    • Maybe I need to run a contest to guess the source image in these ones… David has it right below (mostly). It’s a cropped image of a tree in a snowy field with out of focus dense bush behind. Split the image in four parts going across and then cut off the top half and you’ll have the original image.

  5. Reminds me of a kaleidoscope…I am guessing a branch (or two) with snow on it…

    • I was thinking a bit of a persian rug for the background, but now I think a kaleidoscope is a better fit. As to your guess, it is indeed a tree with snow on the lower branches.

  6. Again, Mike, very nice picture! Adrian
